We’ve passed the 4,250 like mark on Facebook! And that means you guys get a little more info about Kelsey’s book, FINDING IT.

I am SO EXCITED about this book. I’m in edits for it at the moment, and I just love it. IN EDITS. Now, that is saying something.

Gah. I LOVE Hunt. Hard to say… but he might end up my favorite guy so far. SQUEEEE.

The One That You Guys are Going to Love

So, I have been sitting on this secret for WEEKS. I’ve been cryptically tweeting and probably driving a few of you mad.

 But that ends today! Because today I get to tell you about it! SQUEEEEEEEEE! Who’s excited???!!
Well, here it is. We’re going to be doing something a little special in the weeks leading up to the release of FAKING IT. We’ve devised a super special pre-order campaign with 4 pre-order amount goals. Anytime we reach one of those four pre-order goals, you all get a reward. Want to know what that reward is?
Oh, you know, just a few special scenes from LOSING IT……….
IN GARRICK’S POINT OF VIEW.
YEP. THAT’S RIGHT. I’ve written four key scenes from Garrick’s perspective. I know how much you all LOVE Garrick. And I’ve been hearing requests for his pov for ages. So, we decided to do something about it.
The campaign should begin within the next week or so. We’ll have widgets that you can put on your blog that track how close we are to the pre-order goals. So, if you want to read those Garrick scenes… get ready! As soon as the campaign goes live– preorder! Tell your friends to pre-order! Pre-order as gifts! Every pre-order counts and will get us that much closer to learning more about our favorite Brit.
I’ll post more info when we get it all squared away, but when I got the go ahead to spill the beans, I JUST COULDN’T WAIT!

The One Where You Can Request FAKING IT

Okay, lovelies.

I’ve been receiving a lot of emails and tweets and messages about advanced review copies of FAKING IT. First, let me say I’m excited and flattered that so many of you are interested in reading Cade’s story. BUT… I have little to no control over who gets advanced copies and who doesn’t. But I did talk to my publicist, and she gave me the okay to do this and allow those interested to request an ARC.

Note: Just because you fill out this form does NOT mean you will receive an advanced copy. We only have a select number of galleys, but I will be passing this along to my publicist, and she’ll use the information provided to select bloggers to receive the galley. Some of you may get a print galley, some an ebook, and some neither. I apologize in advance if you do not get what you want.  I still love you. 

Another note: You MUST have a blog to be eligible for a review copy. Sorry, kids. Thems the breaks. 

And one final note: I’m not putting a deadline on this, but the sooner you submit your info, the more likely you are to get a copy. 

The One with More Teasing

The door to Cade’s apartment clicked shut behind me, and I leaned back against it. The wood was cool against my back, and I shivered. My heart thumped radically in my chest. I felt like my blood had been replaced with Red Bull. He stepped toward me, and I felt feverish.
 
I searched his eyes, and my stomach dipped like I was falling.
 
I hadn’t even been this nervous my first time.
 
I hadn’t been this nervous ever.
 
He fixed his eyes on me, and desire outweighed my fears. The way he looked at me made my skin sing with electricity. It wasn’t just that he made me feel attractive. Any guy on the street with wandering eyes or a good whistle could do that. He made me feel … special, which sounded so damn cheesy that I could choke.  It was true though. I knew myself better by knowing how he saw me. He erased the doubt and the fear and the anger. He made me feel like the melody instead of the accompaniment.
 
“Are you sure?” he asked.
 
I couldn’t quite get a handle on his expression. It was full of wanting, but whether he wanted me to say yes or no was unclear. I had no problem adding a little clarity to the situation. Rather than answering with words, I reached down and pulled the white tee up over my head.

The One Where We Celebrate

Guess what, friends?

This little beauty, the UK paperback edition of LOSING IT, made the paperback bestseller list in the UK! How awesome is that?? I am astounded, and unbelievably excited!
Thank you to all the UK folks who have bought the book. I have loved hearing from you all and seeing the pictures of the book in stores! You rock!
And… that’s not all folks! I have more news!
German rights to NYT and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack’s debut LOSING IT, to Lyx, by Friederike Biesel of Thomas Schlueck Agency, in association with Kathleen Ortiz of New Leaf Literary & Media, on behalf of Suzie Townsend.
LOSING IT is going to be translated into GERMAN! That makes ten foreign rights sales in all… which again… blows my mind.
I am just so overwhelmed and thankful to have such awesome fans. And to have a great team of agents behind me that have worked so hard to get my books to as many readers as possible.
I want to give a quick shout out to the fans that came out to LA this past weekend for the LA Author Event. It was my first official signing, and you guys made it SUCH a blast. Thank you all for waiting in that massive line, and for being so adorable and sweet. And for, you know, giving a damn about little old me. SO. MUCH. LOVE….
TACKLE. LOVETACKLE, that is.
My next big appearance is at the RT Booklovers Convention in Kansas City at the beginning of May. After that, I’ll be in Minneapolis on May 18!
And for my lovely UK fans who made half of this post possible… I’m working on a possible signing in LONDON! Nothing official yet, but we’re looking at sometime in June. <3 Get excited!
P.S. I still owe you guys a blog post about that awkward occurrence from a few weeks back. It’s coming this week. 🙂

The One All About FAKING IT

OH MY LOVELIES!

So… as a lot of you saw on twitter and Facebook yesterday, The FAKING IT Galleys are in! We only have select number since the book comes out in two months, but my lovely, awesome, generous editor said we could giveaway one copy if we hit 3,000 copies by 5pm yesterday, and WE TOTALLY DID IT!

So, now I’m delivering on that promise! But first, I have to deliver on another promise! Here is your teaser reward for hitting 3,000 copies! This little snippet is from Max’s POV, but don’t worry… it’s all about Cade. 🙂

His face tipped down toward mine, and he breathed, “Max.”

There was hesitancy laden in his voice, and I knew what he was thinking. He was about to get noble. He was going to pull some shit about this not being good for me or me needing time or whatever. He was overthinking something that was so simple.

So I made it simpler for him.

I shifted up on my toes and kissed him.

His resistance must have been thin, because he was kissing me back immediately. The hand under my shirt slid farther up my back until his fingers met my bra strap. He used that arm to pull me up onto my tiptoes. It lined up our hips perfectly, and I moaned into his mouth.

He kissed like he lived—perfectly.

The One that Goes On and On and On (with good things though)

Hello my pretties!

Sorry I’ve been pretty MIA as of late, but I’ve been hard at work on the third book in the LOSING IT universe, this one about Kelsey. And I’m happy to say it’s turned into my editor, and I’m just waiting to hear back on edits! And I can’t wait to tell you all about it!!

What I *CAN* tell you is that it’s set to be released at the beginning of October, four months after the release of FAKING IT. I know four months can seem like a long time, but believe me, it is lightning fast in the publishing world. And Harper Collins has worked really hard to get my work out this quickly. I couldn’t be happier!

So, besides that little tidbit of news, I’ve also got more foreign rights news! LOSING IT (and its two companion novels) have sold in Brazil!!!

Brazilian rights to NYT bestselling author Cora Carmack’s LOSING IT, to Novo Conceito, in a three-book deal, by Joao Paulo Riff at Riff Agency, in association with Kathleen Ortiz at New Leaf Literary & Media on behalf of Suzie Townsend.

How exciting is that?

The One with the THIRD Teaser!


Oh hey y’all (there’s my Texas roots showing)! 

GUESS WHAT? We hit 2,000 likes on Facebook, and now it’s time for a reward! So, without further ado, here’s the third teaser from Cade’s upcoming book, FAKING IT. This particular section is from Cade’s POV, too (You’re welcome). 

In sleep, Max looked younger, softer. She had long eyelashes that rested against her cheeks. Her nose was small and turned up slightly at the end. Even sleeping, she had the sexiest lips I had ever seen. Full and slightly puckered, it was like they were calling to me. And I couldn’t stop thinking about her saying she wasn’t sorry I kissed her.
Not that it mattered. She was taken.
I was doomed to always be attracted to the girls I couldn’t have.
Plus, what she’d told me earlier … it couldn’t have been easy. I could tell how raw the memories left her, and the last thing I wanted was to take advantage of that tenderness.
I was about to nudge her awake when her eyes opened, and she caught me staring at her. She blinked a few times and then her eyes narrowed on me. She sat up and slid to the complete opposite side of the bed.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
Whatever closeness we’d gained earlier didn’t appear to have carried over through her nap. The walls were back up and I was still on the outside.
“I swear it’s not as creepy as it looks.”
“Said the serial killer to the police.”
